Our Purpose
Reins & Roots CIC exists to improve wellbeing, confidence and opportunity through animals, nature and community connection.
We believe everyone should have access to experiences that support emotional wellbeing, personal growth and resilience, regardless of their circumstances.
Working alongside The Orchard Equine and Land-Based College and other community partners, we provide accessible programmes that help children, young people, adults and families develop confidence, build positive relationships and reconnect with themselves, others and the natural world.
By removing barriers to participation and investing in early intervention, we aim to create lasting positive outcomes for individuals, families and the wider community.
Who we are
Reins & Roots CIC is a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee, established to improve wellbeing, confidence and opportunity through animals, nature and community connection.
We operate under a statutory asset lock, ensuring that all surplus is reinvested into community benefit and the delivery of our social purpose.
The organisation is overseen by a board of directors committed to safeguarding, animal welfare, transparency and accessible community provision.
Working in partnership with The Orchard Equine and Land-Based College and other community partners, we are committed to creating safe, inclusive and meaningful opportunities that support positive outcomes for children, young people, adults and families.
Our Approach
We deliver a range of structured wellbeing opportunities designed to support children, young people, adults and families.
Our provision may include:

All sessions are delivered within a safe, structured and safeguarding-led environment, supported by experienced staff and qualified professionals where appropriate.
Our approach combines the benefits of animals, nature, positive relationships and reflective practice to help participants build confidence, resilience, emotional wellbeing and connection.
Programmes are designed to complement existing support networks and provide accessible opportunities for personal growth, wellbeing and community engagement.
Partnership Delivery
Reins & Roots CIC works in partnership with The Orchard Equine and Land-Based College to deliver high-quality wellbeing programmes within safe and professionally managed environments.
This partnership enables participants to benefit from:
• Access to experienced staff and specialist facilities

• High standards of animal welfare and risk management
• Inclusive and accessible wellbeing opportunities
Whilst programmes may be delivered using shared facilities and resources, Reins & Roots CIC operates independently with its own governance, objectives and responsibility for community provision.
This partnership approach allows us to maximise community benefit while maintaining transparency, accountability and a clear focus on positive outcomes for participants.
